Home School Agreement
The School will endeavour to;
- Care for the children’s safety and happiness in a Christian setting
- Encourage children to do their best at all times
- Provide a balanced curriculum in line with the National Curriculum
- Encourage children to take care of their surroundings and to respect and care for each other
- Meet the needs of all children including those with Special Educational needs
- Aim for high standards in work and behaviour
- Develop good attitudes to learning and a sense of responsibility
- Maintain the School’s Behaviour Policy and take steps to prevent bullying
- Keep parents informed about school events through newsletters and notices
- Be open and welcoming and offer opportunities for parents to be involved in the daily life of school and in the activities of the ‘Friends of Hippings’
- Provide opportunities for children to take part in a range of extra-curricular activities
- Provide homework appropriate to the age and ability of the children
- Provide an annual written report on children’s progress and achievements
- Provide information about children’s work, behaviour and progress at other times, when necessary
- Review the School’s Prospectus each year
- Support and reinforce safety on the roads
- Have procedures for complaints
- Provide access to health professionals and support the work of the Local Health Authority in caring for the children’s health
Families will try to:
- Make sure that children come to school regularly and on time and collect them promptly after school, where necessary
- Inform the school if children are unable to attend, and provide a note or telephone call explaining their absence
- Note the information provided in the school prospectus, especially the advice given about health and safety in school and about medicines
- Be aware of health issues and help prevent health risks in school
- Support the school’s Behaviour Policy including the measures the school takes to prevent bullying
- Encourage children to keep the school rules
- Provide children with named school uniform and P.E. kit and encourage them to be tidy and clean
- Attend Parents’ Evenings to discuss children’s progress.
- Support children with their homework and other opportunities for home learning
- Make sure children know how to travel safely, especially to school
- Park safely in appropriate places when coming to school
- Communicate to school any concerns that may affect children’s learning
The Pupil will:
- Always try to work hard and do my best
- Take good care of the school and not spoil or waste things
- Be friendly, polite and helpful
- Not hurt anyone in anything I say or do
- Keep the school and class rules.
- Do my homework as well as I can
- Keep myself safe when using the road
- Wear school uniform.
